Leading with Adaptability that Yields Excellence through Resilience

LaRonda Bates

for International Graduate Director

As a proud graduate member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, I believe our graduate membership deserves leadership that is visible, proactive, and grounded in our founding principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood.

Having served the sisterhood with uninterrupted service, and as a Certified Train the Trainer and my experience with the Grow with Google team, I bring a leadership approach rooted in intentional development, strategic communication, and empowerment. If elected Graduate Director, I will serve with integrity, build meaningful connections across chapters, lead with transparency, elevate our impact, and ensure the voice of the graduate sisterhood is heard and valued at the national level.

~~~About LaRonda~~~
Proud Mom and GiGi
Life has blessed me beyond measure. I am a proud mother of three, Marquaz, Ashiya, and Sabre’. I reached grandmother status in 2021. Carter and Elias call me GiGi. Family is everything. Watching them grow has been my life’s joy.
As an Educator
I began my educational journey as a teacher’s aide. Seeing the need for more educators of color, I pursued a degree in education. Working my way up the ladder and LAYERing my experiences, I have moved into a region leadership position as an Administrator serving our Special Education population. I have a passion for learning and the will to share! Expanding my scope to higher education, I am now an adjunct professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
To follow in the footsteps of this beautiful women is a true honor. Iris Roberts is not only the backbone of our family, she is a dedicated Soror and mentor.
My legacy journey began in the Phenomenal Pacific Region as a charter member of our Regional Legacy Club, 2017. We were blessed to be inducted into the Centennial Gamma Cohort at the International level, 2020.
Inspired by our passion to continue to lay the path for my future legacies, I charted the Alpha Cohort during my 12th Annual Nevada State Leadership Conference, 2024.
